Molecular sieve 3A
Introduction:
3A molecular sieve is a kind of molecular sieve (alkali metal alumino silicate) whose aperture is 3 Å. Sometimes, it is also called 3A zeolite. It do not adsorb chemicals whose molecular diameters are larger than 3 Å.
According to the industrial application specialties,our products have the characters of higher adsorption speed,stronger crushing and anti-contaminative resistance, more cyclic times and longer work-span. All these advantages have made molecular siev come to be the most essential and necessary desiccant in the fields of the deep drying, refinery polymerization for cracked gasses, ethylene, propylene and any other non-acidic gasses of liquids in petroleum and chemical industrials.

Physical properties:
Application:
It is used for commercial dehydration of unsaturated hydrocarbon streams as cracked gas,acetylene,propylene,and butadiene.It is also used for dehydration of alcohol and solvents.
1) Drying of unsaturated hydrocarbons (e.g. ethylene,propylene,butadien)
2) Cracked Gas Drying
3) Drying of natural gas, if COS minimization is essential, or a minimum co-adsorption of hydrocarbons is required.
4)Drying of highly polar compounds, such as methanol and ethanol
5)Drying of liquid alcohol
6)Static,(non-regenerative) dehydration of insulating glass units,whether air filled or gas-filled.
7)Drying of refrigerants
Regeneration:
**It can be regenerated by either heating in the case of thermal swing processes; or by lowering the pressure in the case of pressure swing processes.
**To remove moisture from a 3A molecular sieve, a temperature of 200-230°C is required. A properly regenerated molecular sieve can give moisture dew points below -100°C.
**The outlet concentrations on a pressure swing process will depend on the gas present, and on the conditions of the process.
