Brief introduction:
The hydrodynamic and mass transfer characteristics of 4 kinds of Y—type gauze corrugated packing with high specific surface area (900,1100,1700,2500 m2/m3 respectively) were systematically studied in a muhifunctional Distillation column. The results show that the 2500 Y packing has very high resistance and poor mass — transfer efficiency due to its extremely narrow flow channe1.The mass-transfer efficiency increases with the specific area for the other 3 kinds of packing.However,the 900Y and 1100Y packing have better performance in general.
